It begins on Friday, August 24, 2012 and ends on Sunday, August 26, 2012. We will also participate in the Veterans for Ron Paul march during the start of the Republican National Convention on Monday, August 27, 2012, after which we will head home.Which Ronvoy route should I choose?Travelers should register for the route that has the city you will depart from on it. So if you're coming from Long Beach, you'll depart in LA at the airport. You will depart from the home city on either August 22nd or 23rd, depending upon which city you are departing from, arrive in Tampa on the 24th…enjoy the weekend of events…then depart for home on the 27th after the Veterans march, arriving back home on either the evening of the 28th or the morning of the 29th, depending upon how far away the original departure city is.How is the rate for a particular Ronvoy route determined?Revolution Travel Management is an entirely non-profit travel & lodging brokerage. Our Committee volunteers are not paid for their service of coordinating travel & lodging for liberty events. They do it because they believe in the cause. Travelers pay the EXACT amount per person for each vehicle and for fuel. There is no trick to this. Revolution Travel Management contracts with various car rental agencies through the nation, including Avis, Budget and others. We are able to reserve bulk amounts of vehicles at the lowest rate possible. We divide the total cost of the vehicle, including the rent fee, insurance and tax, by the number of passengers on the vehicle. We then calculate the cost of fuel for the route. Starting from the original departure city, we determine the total mileage to Tampa and back. We divide that by the miles per gallon of the vehicle (15mpg). After computing the amount of gallons of fuel required, we multiply that number by per gallon. We take that total cost of fuel and divide it by the number of passengers per vehicle on the route. Approximately one week prior to the driver's departure date, we transfer the fuel funds to him directly. He then holds complete responsibility for paying for the fuel for the Ronvoy from that point forward.Note: Some routes may encounter toll fees. Travelers are asked to share in the responsibility of paying these fees throughout travel. Where possible, RTM has coordinated routes avoiding tolls as much as possible, while reasonably coordinating a route that is the most direct route to Tampa.*Yes, we know fuel isn't per gallon EVERYWHERE, but in the major cities it is getting close – we don't want to cut ANY vehicle short of fuel. Any minute amount of fuel money that may be left over is given to the driver who picked up the vehicle, for his dedicated service to the cause of liberty, at the end of the trip. How does the Ronvoy work? The vehicles hold 12 or 15 people each. We sell the spots to twelve or fifteen people per vehicle per route. Once all the spots on a particular vehicle have been sold on a route, we pay for the vehicle directly from the Revolution Travel Management account with traveler funds. Ronvoy vehicles are driven by volunteer drivers who are also paid travelers on the route. Revolution Travel Management transfers the TOTAL amount of money required for fuel for the entire route to the driver in advance of the departure date. The driver agrees to be responsible for picking up the vehicle at the correct time and to travel the route as required to pick up all travelers who have been assigned to his or her vehicle. The driver communicates with his Ronvoy route coordinator (the volunteer who is organizing the passengers into vehicles for that route) regarding specific pickup locations in each city.
Driver Information:Qualified Drivers are required for every Ronvoy route vehicle. A qualified driver will be at least 25 years of age, with a valid drivers license.

If ticket purchaser will be a driver and is qualified, please indicate so on registration form when paying for ticket. Drivers are responsible for ensuring timely and safe travel for all passengers. Revolution Travel Management does not require a DMV check, however the vehicle companies we contract through may do so at vehicle pick-up.

Drivers are responsible for communicating with the Ronvoy coordinator with any unanticipated changes throughout travel.

For more information on being a driver, please don't hesitate to contact Susan Wolfe directly at 424-254-8911 or email susanw@wearechangewichita.org.

Traveler Information:

Drivers will be provided with all confirmed and paid traveler's contact information. Driver information will be provided to all travelers on August 1, 2012. It is the traveler's responsibility to contact the driver directly with any questions or concerns regarding travel.

It is the traveler's sole responsibility to arrive at the departure location on time in the pick-up city, as well as at the departure location for shuttles provided to and from Tampa. Travelers are encouraged to arrive at least thirty minutes early for departure. Travelers are expected to communicate with the driver on issues regarding schedule. Drivers will be in contact with travelers to confirm departure location and estimated arrival time.

There are NO REFUNDS for being late/missing the departure of the Ronvoy. It is ABSOLUTELY in the best interest of the traveler to be in contact with your driver regularly. Unless route is cancelled due to low participation, all sales are FINAL.

Vehicle Information:

Vehicles are 12 and 15 passenger vans – NOT buses. RTM utilizes passenger vans for several reasons:

1. This allows travelers to be flexible in their travel – stop to eat, use the restroom, stretch at leisure.

2. This allows travelers to have transportation to and from all the events in Tampa.

3. Rather than using personal vehicles, we utilize rental vehicles so that in the event of mechanical error, travelers are ensured that the company will get them back on the road.

Luggage space WILL BE LIMITED! Travelers are encouraged to pack ONE BAG only. Come on! No one's going to care what you look like at a Ron Paul event! In addition to your bag, we recommend a pillow. For those travelers who are tent camping, please try to consolidate your camping equipment as much as possible, i.e. roll your tent inside your sleeping bag if possible. Please be courteous to your fellow liberty-loving travelers.

Payment Information:

PayPal payments are preferred, however you may also pay by check or money order.

Mail Checks and Money Orders to:

Revolution Travel Management

1725 S. 155th W. Suite 6, Goddard, KS 67052

Full payment must be received by July 31, 2012. Traveler will receive confirmation email within 3 days of payment receipt.

No cancellations except in the event of route cancellation, however ticket may be transferred to another traveler by contacting Susan Wolfe at (424) 254-8911.

Revolution Travel Management created the Ronvoy process for the purpose of transporting thousands of attendees to liberty events nationwide. RTM is an entirely non-profit travel & lodging brokerage. Our committee is made up entirely of volunteers, who donate our time and energy toward coordinating low-cost travel & lodging for attendees of national Liberty events.

Violence In Lincoln County, 1869-1881

Lincoln County, New Mexico was once one of the largest counties in the United States and was the setting for a famous feud which lit up the horizon of history. Here between 1869 and 1881 were all the explosive ingredients for violence. On one side of the county was the Mescalero Apache reservation. A day away was an Army fort to keep the Indians “subdued.” Along the Pecos River were hundreds of thousands of acres of public land, much of it claimed by settlers with deeds of “Squatters’ Rights.” Conflicts over land, politics, cattle and money, sparked by the tempers of young men fueled with six-shooters and cheap whiskey, set fire to the whole tinderbox. What became known as The Lincoln County War began over a dispute for the insurance money of Emil Fritz. It flared when the killing of John H. Tunstall became an international incident and started a chain reaction of murders. The Battle of Blazer’s Mill presaged the four sultry days in July when Colonel N. A. M. Dudley marched U.S. troops into Lincoln and sided with the Dolan-Riley contingent against the McSween faction. This, along with the crack of Pat Garrett’s pistol which ended the life of Billy the Kid, signaled the end of the outlaw heyday. Lew Wallace, governor of New Mexico (and author of Ben Hur), then wrote to Washington: “It gives me pleasure to report New Mexico in a state of quiet,” thus bringing to a close a conflagration without parallel in the American West. Long out of print, the book is available once again with a new foreword by Marc Simmons and preface by Michael L. Keleher, William A. Keleher’s son. William A. Keleher (1886-1972) observed first hand the changing circumstances of people and places of New Mexico. Born in Lawrence, Kansas, he arrived in Albuquerque two years later, with his parents and two older brothers. The older brothers died of diphtheria within a few weeks of their arrival. As an adult, Keleher worked for more than four years as a Morse operator, and later as a reporter on

Should Google Go Nuclear Clean

May 18, 2012 · Posted in Albuquerque Insurance · 25 Comments

Google Tech Talks November 9, 2006 ABSTRACT This is not your father’s fusion reactor! Forget everything you know about conventional thinking on nuclear fusion: high-temperature plasmas, steam turbines, neutron radiation and even nuclear waste are a thing of the past. Goodbye thermonuclear fusion; hello inertial electrostatic confinement fusion (IEC), an old idea that’s been made new. While the international community debates the fate of the politically-turmoiled billion ITER (an experimental thermonuclear reactor), simple IEC reactors are being built as high-school science fair projects. Awarded to the top 25% of agencies in client satisfaction scores from Home Care Pulse, Home Care Assistance of Albuquerque is now ranked among a select few of the best agencies in the country.

?We know that sometimes it is difficult to make care decisions when you don?t have specific experience with an agency. It was our goal to provide families with the ability to make an informed decision, have tangible ways to measure quality and help them find a comfort level when choosing an agency to work with,? commented Aaron Marcum, founder of Home Care Pulse.

Home Care Pulse, a company which measures client and employee satisfaction, created the award to identify those agencies in the in-home care space that demonstrate a passion for client and employee satisfaction. Home Care Assistance helps seniors live well at home by providing compassionate caregivers who are highly qualified, bonded and insured. Nine out of ten seniors would prefer to remain in their home and age independently, but they do not always know they have this choice. When family members live far away and frailty, chronic illness or forgetfulness set in, seniors do not have to move out of their home into a facility ? instead, Home Care Assistance enables them to stay in their home safely while maintaining their quality of life.

The Occidental Life Building is a historic building located at 305 Gold Avenue SW in downtown Albuquerque, New Mexico, in the United States. It is a unique example of U.S. Venetian Gothic Revival architecture, modeled after Doge’s Palace in Venice. It was designed by Henry C. Trost of the El Paso architectural firm Trost & Trost, and built for the Occidental Life Insurance Company in 1917.

The building has street facades on the south and east sides, facing Gold Avenue and 3rd street, respectively. These are faced with bright white terra cotta tile and decorated with elaborate floral patterns. A row of pointed arches runs along each facade below a row of quatrefoil windows. When originally built, the Occidental Life Building had an overhanging cornice and wide arcades between the arches and the building proper. After a 1934 fire gutted the building, the roofline was rebuilt to more closely resemble Doge’s and the interior office space was expanded, removing the arcades. The interior was rebuilt as a two-story office building in 1981, keeping the terra cotta exterior intact.

How to Choose the Best Home Care for your Parents in Albuquerque

Article by Johnny Lowery

Coming to the realization that your parents are beginning to falter in their later years is difficult. Although the possibility has always existed, in actuality it is a daunting prospect. In Albuquerque, New Mexico, there are many home care agencies available to assist your elderly parent, and the question of how to choose the best home care for your parents in Albuquerque is not easily answered. Making such a decision demands an examination of needs and priorities, as seen by both you and your parents.

Often, the initial assessment regarding Albuquerque Home Care falls to a family member. Their daily habits and surroundings may offer signs that they need help. Are their habits clean and healthy? If at all possible, discuss the possibility of Albuquerque Elder Care with them, for it can give everyone involved peace of mind.

Once a general agreement about the need for extra help has been made, the first step in finding the right agency for your parents would be to ask people you know for recommendations. Tried and true, word of mouth from those you trust could very well be the best guidance you receive throughout the process. From there, you could refer to the yellow pages, or search for an on line directory.

Do not simply pick an agency from one of those sources. Investigate any agency you are considering. Look for testimonials, contact the Better Business Bureau, check with the New Mexico Department of Health to be sure they are properly licensed, and ask for references. Ask questions. Is each employee fully bonded and insured? Have they received proper training? Is there someone available twenty four hours a day, in case of an emergency?

Financial arrangements need to be considered, too. Ask about their rates. Medicaid will often pay for home care, but many medical insurance plans do not. Ask the agency if they have a payment plan that will help ease the burden for you.

Your parents are important and deserve the best care they can receive. Whether it’s for simple companionship, light housekeeping, help caring for pets, errand running, meal preparation, or more, Albuquerque Home Health Care provides it all.
